*Knowledgeable about Early Achievers, Washington's quality and improvement rating system.
*Use positive guidance techniques to help children learn about their own emotions and build social skills.
*Maintain the cleanliness, organization and sanitation of the a classroom and help children take measures to stop germs and make safe choices.
*Maintain professional relationships with families and co-workers.
*Support children's development in their gross and fine motor skills, cognitive skills, language and literacy skills, creative skills and social/emotional skills.
*Follow an established curriculum as well as develop a weekly plan of activities and enrichment based on the individual needs of each child and the group.
*Manage a class of up to ten children independently throughout many different activities, routines and transitions.
*Observe children objectively to gain a deeper understanding of their individual development and to appreciate each child for the wonderful unique person they are.
Embracing and supporting working in a Christian Learning Center environment.
You must also be willing to get the following requirements:
*Current first aid/CPR/BBP.
*Current food handler's card.
*Ability to pass a background check.
*Present a negative TB test reading.
*STARS training (must complete within 6 months of hire).
