Woodridge Behavioral Care has an opening for an Admissions Coordinator in its Forrest City, Arkansas location.


The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for implementing policies and procedures for the Referral and Assessment Center. The position is responsible for insuring the Referral & Assessment Center remains in compliance with JCAHO and other states/contract licensing guidelines and standards. The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for tracking referral calls, assessments and admissions as well as the evaluation of this data for the purpose of departmental improvement. Additionally, the Admissions Coordinator provides support to the Vice President of Referral Development as it relates to evaluating current referral development efforts, identifying potential new business and identifying market trends.

Job Requirements

A Master’s Degree in social work/psychology/related area or Registered Nurse. Experience in customer service, strategic planning and sales/marketing required.


Knowledge of strategic planning as it relates to territory evaluation, utilization of marketing resources and identification of new business opportunities.


Knowledge of the principles of clinical treatment and social casework of children, adolescents, and families in a mental health setting.


Knowledge of the referral, assessment and admissions process. Including admission criteria, clinical requirements to secure insurance authorization and facility based milieu issues that impact admissions.


Knowledge of HIPPA, JCAHO, various state licensing and service contract standards of care.

The Admissions Coordinator demonstrates ability to maintain a productive and professional work atmosphere by interacting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation and teamwork with executive directors, referral development staff, referral sources, families and residents. The Admissions Coordinator is able to verify benefits with the insurance company, interpret insurance information for the family and facility. Communicate intake information to the facility for evaluation, treatment planning and discharge planning.
