My objective is to find a daycare to work for that is truely there for the children. I really have a strong passion for working with children. Being surrounded by others who share that same passion really makes it so much more then a job. 

My experience working with children varies from daycare centers to working in the home since I was 12 years old. As a 21 year old adult my love for working with children has only grown. My experience in a daycare center goes from the infant room all the way to school aged children. I was a head teacher , responsible for 3 assistants and 30 toddlers at one point.  I took on the cirriculm for the class and planned weeks ahead of time. Also as a nanny I took care of 3 children and all the house duties. One child who suffered from autism and was also an epileptic. I furthered that experience by working as a behavioral health professional and working one on one with mentally disabled children in their homes.

My certifications all apply to the state of Maine unfortunately on the Maine early learning guidelines site. I am currently working on Air to get certifications through there. I am CPR and first aid certified.  Other skills I feel are required for this kind of job are patience , time managment , good sense of humor, responsible , reliable , quick on my feet and very happy :) 

Again just wanting to say , I have such a passion for this line of work. Anywhere I go with children around , it never fails that we usually end up entertaining each other and the parents always tell me how great I am with their child. I relate easily to people and have great skills when it comes to talking to parents.
