Attention: Hiring Department
I was excited to find Childcarejobs.org website being able to post my resume for Director/Assistant director postion. I do meet all the requirments and am current on all required documentation that is needed to work in this field and postion. For the last 14 years I have been working with children. While 10 of those years I owned and operated a State License Daycare in Oregon State.
After finding my biological family I had decided to make a huge decision for myself an kids to move to Washington State to be closer to my brother who currently serves in the military. I was offered a director job but due to no college education. I could be a teacher until I meet the requirements. I enrolled in college to further my education as well as accomplish my passion and love for children.
I attended the Diversity conference.
In March 2012 I volunteered to John Dower Elementary School working in the ECAP/Head Start program
In June 2012 I received my CDA certificate from Green River Community College
In June 2013 I received my Associate Degree in ECE-Early Childhood Education from Pierce Community College.
My cpr, first aid, blood borne, are current until 4/2015
In addition I opened up and maintained a company that is a running business.
I can use the Pro Care system program, analyzes reports
I have experience in training, teaching, lesson planning, work schedules, organization, coordinates activities, budget management, administration work, marketing, hiring, firing, retraining, and continue positive staff awareness,
I have experience with the USDA Food Program
I have experience with DSHS/Subsidy funded programs
I work only by the WAC/DEL CODES
I have worked with the Department of Early Learning Licensors
I have worked with Child Care Aware companies
I have managed 13 employees and kept a high enrollment capacity of children from 6 weeks threw 12 years of age.
When you take a look at my resume, you will see that my quest to improve my knowledge hasn’t stopped in the classroom. I believe in positive direction and giving choices to all children. I do not talk down to a child nor yell. Threw my experience this is not an environment I want to stay working for. I regularly attend conferences, professional association activities and continuing education opportunities so that I can remain current in the field. The fact that I worked full time (operating my own day care center & Nanning) while attending college full time exemplifies my motivation and commitment.
In conclusion, I am confident I have the training and experience to excel in this position. I am also willing to train to learn as well to grow within the company. I hope you will contact me to arrange an interview at your convenience. Thank you for your time and consideration. Meeting you could be anytime at any locations
Sincerely,
Sondra Gregory
