My teaching objective is to help children to grow and to learn. Most importantly, I believe that children learn the best while having fun and enjoying themselves. I strive to help them to be active, to love reading, and to develop skills through the use of art projects. Children can develop physically, mentally, and emotionally through art. I use music and song to teach many things and I have found that children learn with music.

2016 Foundations Learning Academy

-I taught children in the federal Head Start Program using the Creative Curriculum method to teaching.

-I planned weekly lessons, maintained the learning environment, and carried out lesson plans.

2015-2016 Second Presbyterian Child Care Center

-I worked with children aged 2-3 years of age in childcare and learning activities.

-I taught music activities to children ages 2-6 years of age.

Hobbies and Activities

 

I am a versatile person who enjoys arts and crafts, needlepoint, piano performance, music composing, and poetry reading and writing. I have played in the bell choir at my church and I have taught Sunday school to third graders for the past six years. In addition, I walk my dogs and take care of my animals.
