Job Description

AFTER SCHOOL Group Leader - Dane County 2014-2015 school year
School year hourly
Part-time 16-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday (after school/hours, non-school days hours will vary)
Reports to site supervisor

Job Specifications:  implement fun, explorative learning activities that are developmentally appropriate for all children.  Follow and maintain state of Wisconsin Group Day Care licensing standards, YoungStar guidelines, accreditation standards and company policy and procedures.  Other responsibilities include support for the overall maintenance of the program site and the fostering of positive relations between the children, school personnel and the families.

Qualifications:  candidates for the above position must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent. Childcare coursework will be required within 6 months of hire date and may be provided by the employer, upon successful completion of coursework pay rate may be reevaluated.. Candidates should have experience children and must be able to assist in the daily physical set up and take down of the site.

Compensation and Benefits:  starting wages for the position determined by the candidate’s education level and experience and range from $9.25-$11.75 per hour.  Training and professional development provided.  School age child care for staff at our locations is free for first child, 50% off for second child.  Insurance benefits available for those working 20+hours per week.
