Early Childcare Teachers (Pinellas County)
Teachers will be responsible for working in head start or day care centers helping children ages 0-12 years of age in their educational and personal growth needs. Under a director's supervision, they provide all the necessary primary care for infants and independent and group activities for toddlers and older children. Through games and exercises, they help children develop self-esteem, curiosity, imagination, physical skills, and speech. Teachers also oversee the children's health and nutrition, sometimes having the children participate in the preparation of breakfast and lunch.
Will also be responsible for supporting children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
Minimum requirements:
-1 year proven experience in the child care industry
-30 Hours Intro to Child Care Training Course
-10 Hours Developmentally Appropriate Practices
-5 Hours Early Literacy for Children Age Birth through Three
-CPR/First Aid
- Clean Criminal Background
-Valid State Driver's License
Preferred skills:
-Child Development Associate (CDA)
