The Raritan Bay Area YMCA in Perth Amboy, NJ seeks an experienced and effective individual to provide direction and leadership to our early childcare program. Under the direction of the VP of Family Services, the Pre School Director for the Early Learning Center oversees all aspects of the management and day-to-day operations of the Center and is responsible for the staffing, budget, personnel management, program/curriculum implementation, quality standards and operations.
The Raritan Bay YMCA Early Learning Center, in collaboration with the Perth Amboy Board of Education, currently operates five classrooms to deliver a high quality educational experience using the Creative Curriculum.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in any field related to children or business, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or its equivalent. Minimum of 3 years experience teaching children ages 3-5 years old and supervisory/management experience preferably in child care or school environment with a primary responsibility for operations and budget management, including recruiting, screening, hiring and evaluating staff performance. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required.
