The Instructors are responsible to provide superior quality, value and outstanding service to the customer by planning and implementing age-appropriate developmental activities, following the regulatory standards, nutritional standards and the safety standards for children.
National CDA (college credit 12 Hours)
Minimum of three years experience in child development center or licensed family day care home
Required 20-hour training in introductory Child Care Training course as required by Environmental Health Services. Must be completed within one year of employment
Required 10-hour training in Behavioral Observation and Screening in Child as required by Environmental Health Services. Must be completed within one year of employment
Required 10-hour training in Developmentally Appropriate Practices for Young Children as required by Environmental Health Services
Preferred eight hours of Child Development In-service training as required by Environmental Health Services. Must be completed within one year of employment
High School Diploma or equivalent
Able to develop age-appropriate lesson plan
Preferred AHA CPR, ( Pediatric Blocked Airway is required by NAEYC)
Preferred First Aid training through American Heart Association
