Job Requirements

Responsibilities:
Our teachers plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities based upon children's interests and needs. You will complete Desired Results Developmental Progress assessments based upon anecdotal notes, observations and weekly lesson plans within the first 60 days of each child's enrollment. Then conduct follow-up assessments to measure each child's growth over the year, and engage in two parent conferences annually.

Teaching staff communicate and partner with parents to enhance children's well-being and skills development in areas of language and literacy, math and science concepts, social development and self-help in an active learning environment. Staff create a welcome environment for families and children respectful of home languages, children's rights, adequate supervision and familial values and traditions in conjunction with Community Care Licensing requirements. High/Scope and Reggio Emilia Approaches.

Qualifications:
Must be available to work between the hours of 12:30am-- 6:30pm., Mon--Fri. Different times are available

Experience -- 6 months or more prior childcare experience. Able to prepare lesson plans, anecdotal notes, portfolios, desired results assessments. Strong teamwork and customer service skills.

Minimum Requirements:
Education - 12 Units in ECE/CD or related field or CDA Credential (transcripts required). In possession of or eligible for valid CA Child Development Associate Teacher Permit*. TB and DOJ/CACI/FBI Criminal Records clearances plus 3 references required. Bilingual abilities a plus.

*CDI will assist with CD Permit process if you do currently have one.
