Acclaim Academy is continuing to seek staff to add to our growing Early Childhood Learning Center. We intend to seek professional Assistant and Group Supervisors (Level II, III, IV, V, & VI) to join our growing team.
Responsible for planning and executing the educational program in accordance with the purpose and goals of Child's Day.
Responsible for the general supervision and management of a class of children.
All Teachers should follow best practices and meet all designated STAR level standards which can be found on the www.Pakeys.org website. Best practices are discussed during orientation and on-going monthly staff meetings.
Complete Ages & Stages and Getting to know you meetings with in child’s 30 days of enrollment and complete work sampling/ounce scale monthly.
Staff are also required to complete a minimum of two observations and one lesson plan a week and monitor ongoing records on all children under their care.
Staff are also required to complete weekly lesson plans and coordinate them with the Pennsylvania Learning Standards.
Staff are also required to maintain training hours set by the center and follow Acclaim policies and procedures.
All candidates will need to meet the minimum requirements:
-Obtained a H.S. Diploma and is willing to enroll in a C.D.A. (Child Development Associate Credential) and complete the course within their first year of hire. This position is only offered to those who have a minimum of 2 years of experience in childcare and display knowledge of D.P.W. regulations and Keystone STARS standards.
OR
-Obtained a C.D.A. (Child Development Associate Credential or completed and awaiting testing- must show proof) and at least 2 years of experience working with children. Candidates are strongly encouraged to pursue their continued education in Early Childhood through either an AA or BS program within the first year of hire.
OR
-Currently pursuing a AA or BS in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of 30 credits in with 12 hours of ECE credits.
OR
-AA, BS, or MA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 2 years of experience working with children (NO EXCEPTIONS ON DEGREE EARNED - MUST BE ECE)
