PERKINS' PLAYHOUSE & LEARNING CENTER IS HIRING CHILDCARE PROFESSIONAL'S FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION(S): Fulltime & Part-time employment
Opener-Candidate must have previous experience with opening a center daily, be punctual and reliable , be able to multitask, greet parents & children, answer phones, prepare classrooms, and breakfast.
(2 positions available) Preschool Teacher- Candidate must have a previous experience working with a mix age group of children 3-5years of age in a childcare setting. Creative Curriculum and implementing it through weekly lesson plan activities, portfolios, observations, assessments and etc.
(2 positions available) School-Age Teacher- previous experience working with a mix age group of children 5-12 years of age in a childcare setting. Has the ability of creating and implementing educational, physical and social activities for children weekly.
All above positions requires experience in the following skills and education.
Previous experience (1-3) years working with children
A college or advanced education course work in education or child-related courses. Completion of a Degree in Education from an accredited college or a Career Pathway Level 3 would also qualify. Candidates must also have worked with Step Up to Quality and Action for Children and ODJFS child care licensing rules/regulations.
In addition individuals must possess the desire to work with all children. To provide comfort but positive redirection and structure at all times in an educational environment. Have the ability to sustain a high level of energy and the skill to complete task in a timely manner.
Individuals trained in child CPR, First-Aid, Communicable Disease, Child Abuse is a PLUS!
Floater (hours will vary) -A high school diploma or GED with some course work in Early Childhood Development.
CDL Driver class C or higher to drive a small school bus.
