Infant Teachers/Caregivers at Providence CCPS:
Work as a team member to provide general care to babies from birth to 12 months.
Are or become familiar with and incorporate developmentally appropriate practice for infants.
Are or become familiar with the developmental stages of infant development.
Are or become familiar with assessments and screenings for infants.
Ensure the health and safety of infants, performing duties such as changing and feeding infants.
Entertain and educate infants by reading to, playing with and nurturing them.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate with parents.
Exhibit professionalism in all manner of speaking, appearance and demeanor at all times.
Keep accurate written records of the child's daily activities, diet, general mood and other.
Infant Teachers/Caregivers at Providence CCPS will:
Present a high school diploma and formal childcare experience in a center setting is a plus.
Be physically able to lift, carry or hold in arms infants or toddlers up to 30lbs.
Be flexible with schedule and available to work full-time in four or five days.
Present a negative TB screening
Be willing to obtain 18 hours of paid training per year in addition to scheduled work time.
Enjoy 40 Hours of Vacation and 24 Hours of Sick Pay accrued during your first year of employment.
Be entitled to 6 paid holidays per year.
Be compensated based on experience and receive raises based on merit.
