We are looking for a caregiver for our Infant room. The caregiver every classroom in our school is responsible for the physical and emotional care of each child. Assuring each child’s safety and well being is the teacher’s primary focus.
Daily Functions Include:
Creating and maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment
Ensuring the safety of each child which includes knowing the number of children present and their whereabouts at any given time
Caring for the children’s physical needs including feeding/serving meals, diapering/assisting in toileting, assisting with hygiene such as hand washing and nose blowing/wiping
Developing, submitting, and implementing monthly/weekly lesson plans
Establishing and maintaining strong and open communication with parents and staff
Participating in staff meetings
Planning and leading Parent/Teacher conferences
Observing and assessing each child monthly
Maintaining records including, but not limited to, attendance, developmental assessments, medication logs, and accident/injury reports
Evaluating each child’s progress and adjusting lessons/activities to compliment his/her developmental level
Completing annual teacher training requirements
Lifting a minimum of 15 lbs., pushing and pulling a minimum of 20 lbs., and standing for a minimum of 3 hours per day
Completing tasks and assignments by agreed upon deadlines
Assessing indoor and outdoor safety at all times, in regard to safety and appropriateness for the age group
Abiding by and adhering to our school’s sickness policy
Planning and leading field trips for the class
Participating in Open House events to provide information and insight about the school and your individual class to visiting parents
Maintaining confidentiality in regard to each child’s information, assessments, etc
Minimum 2 years working with infants and toddlers, preferably in a daycare setting
