Southminster Child Care Center is looking for an exceptional Center Director to join the Southminster Family. We are looking for someone with innovation, excitement and drive to create the next chapter of Southminster.

From our littlest students in the infant room to our Pre-K students we work to prepare them for success in all of their future adventures
Key Responsibilities Include:
Work closely with the Assistant Director and Childcare Board to provide a safe environment for the children
Ensure teachers abide by all policies and procedures
Ensure parents understand all policies and procedures
Support the teachers in their lesson plans in accordance to the curriculum theme for the designated week
Create a healthy, safe and exciting environment
Follow all State regulations
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
Must meet State, Education and Licensing Requirements
CPR and First Aide Certified, or willing to obtain
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or relevant field or a 2-year Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an early childhood education program preferred
Minimum requirements of High School Diploma with minimum 30hrs of training and 4yrs in an early childhood education program
Leadership skills including the ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflict
Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable experience a plus
Ability to understand, uphold and create internal policies and procedures as well as DHS regulations and STARS
Must provide past employment and personal references and clear full background check
