JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Head Teacher and Center Director, the Assistant Teacher will be responsible for working within the framework of Harbor Child Care carrying out its functions, educational philosophy, policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Assistant Teacher, under the supervision of the Head Teacher and Associate Teacher, is responsible for the planning and execution of a classroom program that takes into account the educational, social development and health needs of the group as well as the individual child. The Assistant Teacher is required to lift and carry children as well as be physically fit to actively participate in age appropriate activities for the class.
Full time assistant teachers start at $11.00/hour and work 36.25 hours/week.
AA, CDA or students working towards a degree in Early Childhood Ed., Elementary Ed., or related field.
