Our teachers support this growth and development through singing, reading, playing, and sharing quiet moments throughout the day. As a Teacher you must have a passion for the field of learning and for helping young children. Candidates MUST have six (6) months of group care experience in a licensed facility.
Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Be committed to helping Minnieland Academy continue to set the standard for high quality child care at every level.
• Meet the individual needs of the children.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans.
• Participate in staff trainings and required teacher trainings.
• Establish positive and effective communication and relationships with families.
• Interact with all children to support play, exploration and learning.
• Be able to communicate effectively with center director(s).
• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, loving, and nurturing environment for all children.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Other duties assigned.

Education (Must have one of the following):
• Associates degree or higher in ECE, Elementary Education or a related field (with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE); or
• Current CDA; OR
• Current and active enrollment in an accredited Associates or Bachelor’s degree program; OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with minimum 1 year teaching experience at a child care facility.
Required Experience:
• Minimum of 6 months experience working in a licensed child care facility.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
