Requirements:                       A current Resume, Certificate from The Registry, Shaken Baby Syndrome, CPR & AED, SIDS, Introduction to Child Care Profession (ECI), Skills & Strategies and copy of High School Diploma/GED equivalent.

 

Position Description:             To supervise the daily functions of the center.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The center director shall be responsible for the supervision of the planning and implementation of the center’s program for children, the supervision of staff at the center, staff meetings and orientation and continuing education for staff.

A center director shall be employed on one of the following schedules:

At least 10 hours a week for the exclusive purpose of carrying out center director responsibilities in a single full-day center location licensed for 50 or fewer children.

At least 20 hours a week for the exclusive purpose of carrying out center director responsibilities in a single full-day center location licensed for 50 or more children.

Assist Administrator as requested on varies duties such as audit staff/child files, coordinate with parents, schools and field trip vendors.

Providing a comprehensive individualized child development program, ensure parent or guardian involvement in the education process, this includes conferences completed as scheduled.

Parent’s input in evident on the lesson plan and on the conference forms.

Maintain overall classroom and extended classroom environment.

Make sure the classroom is neat and safe offers a friendly and accepting environment for the parent and child.

Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings

Complete all assigned written work; all required work is to be completed on time. This would include children’s folders, any data that is updated on a monthly basis.

Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Be able to read and write.

Be able to lift at least 25lbs safely.

Be able to supervise and aid Assistant teacher with job duties when need

Be able to walk and/or transport kids to school.

Be able to cook and serve daily meals and snacks to children.

Be able to do daily cleaning when needed; such as moping, vacuuming, dusting sweeping etc. 

Be willing to potty train kids as needed.

Any other job-related duties
