Up to $15,000 Sign-on Bonus

We are looking for sharp, enthusiastic, professionals to become part of the energy and join our Nursing team in the Main O.R. where you will engage in our efforts to improve patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepares the Operating Room suite appropriately to receive a new admission. Greets the patient upon arrival and initiates hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Evaluates, assesses and documents patient's surgical status. Report abnormal findings to physician and document pre/post-op counts.
  • Assists anesthesia in maintaining intake and output, checks availability of blood products and checks blood products with anesthesia before administering. Document blood administration and assures accuracy.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle difficult situations dealing with conflict in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates appropriate safety measures as it relates to potential radiation exposure.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and intervenes appropriately with patients receiving conscious sedation.
  • Competent in application of safety positioning devices, providing ongoing observation, intervention and documentation as per hospital policy.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of operation, care and handling of O.R. equipment.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform new procedures, skills, and routines in specialty areas.

Job Requirements

  • ASN
  • BSN preferred. 
  • Current/Valid Florida RN Licensure required. 
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room/Surgical hospital setting.
  •  EKG, CNOR preferred.
