This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse Recruiter/HR Generalist. Based in Raleigh, NC, Holly Hill Hospital is perfectly located in a rapidly growing family-oriented community that is just hours from the mountains and the beaches and is a surrounded by major universities. We are passionate about excellent quality care in the treatment and recovery of adults and adolescents with psychiatric and/or chemical dependency illnesses.

We continue to grow and expand our services to meet the demands of the community for inpatient psychiatric beds. We are excited with the opening of our new Children’s Hospital, the first of its kind in the state and will be a center of excellence for child and adolescent mental health treatment.

We have an immediate need for a FT Nurse Recruiter/HR Generalist who will be responsible for managing our staff development, benefits and leave of absence programs. This position can truly make a difference in the life of this special population by ensuring that the talent that takes care of them is competent and engaged.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops creative strategies to attract talent in local market
  • Implement full-cycle recruitment for nurses
  • Conducts behavior-based interviews and analyzes applicants' attributes to determine possible multiple uses in placement
  • Maintains and fully utilizes the Applicant Tracking System
  • Facilitate new hire on boarding process by coordinating pre-employment, and assisting as needed with Nursing New Hire orientation
  • Monitors compensation structure in relation to local competitor marketplace
  • Track leave of absence and coordinate with absence management vendor
    Enter data in HRIS (Lawson) and generate and analyze reports
    Counsel employees and managers on issues related to employment

Job Requirements



Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Business, or related field required


At least 3 years’ experience in Human resources and Healthcare Recruitment.  Recruitment of Registered Nurses preferred.  Mental health field or hospital experience preferred. 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Recruitment Programs and Procedures including applicant sourcing, background checks and on-boarding.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Employment Laws
  • Knowledge of Employee Relations and Performance Evaluation
  • Knowledge of Employee Benefits and Compensation
  • Knowledge of HR training and development
  • Knowledge of JCAHO and other licensing agency HR requirements
  • Strong skills in verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, data analysis, project management, time management, and administrative process.
