Job Responsibilities:
Is responsible in assisting with planning and execution of the curriculum which meets the developmental stages of the children
Greets each child and parent at arrival/dismissal
Assesses the child’s general health
Is responsible for the care, health, and safety of the class
Is responsible for the children during outdoor activities
Responsible for meal time activities of the class
Responsible for diaper changing
Responsible for recording daily care sheets and other documentation as needed
Responsible for recording daily attendance
Responsible for keeping the classroom neat, supplies in order and the general cleanliness of the toys
Periodic Duties:
Attends all staff meetings
Attends all in service training programs
Maintains current CPR and First Aid certification
Communicates effectively with parents
Must complete at least twelve (12) clock hours of approved continued training per year
Meets Child Care Credential requirements to meet a minimum of a level 4
Requirements:
Candidates must have their 99 hour preschool and/or 45 hour infant and toddler certifications.
Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred.
ADA, Supporting Breastfeeding, Developmental Screening and Basic Health and Safety Training required or must be completed within first 6 months of hire
Must have reliable transportation
Must be available mornings and afternoons
At least 1 year prior classroom experience
