We also have resources available to assist with securing scholarships to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA), Technical Certificate, Associate Degree, or Bachelor Degree in early childhood from approved colleges and universities.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Idaho requirements to work in child care:
Must have current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification
Must pass an enhanced background check
Must become a member of IdahoSTARS and complete 15 training hours annually.
Creative Imaginations requirements for employment:
Be dependable, flexible and able to work Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the center at all times
Building trusting relationship with children
Supervise and monitor the safety of children at all times
Positive communication and professional relationship with parents
Maintain strong staff relationships/communication
Participate in staff development, staff meetings, professional activities and special events
Must be comfortable performing basic care giving, including but not limited to holding children, changing diapers, potty training and assisting children in the bathroom, teaching proper hygiene, feeding children, providing guidance and discipline in accordance with the center's policies.
Be creative and enjoy planning curriculum and age appropriate activities and projects for children each day.
Ensure that all schedules and activities are in compliance with our center's policies.
Keep records of children’s progress, routines, and interests.
Perform custodial duties to keep our center clean and sanitary.
Be familiar with and adhere to all policies set forth in the Parent Handbook and Employee Handbook.
