Dee's Busy Bee's Licensed Child Care is looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and positive multi-tasker to assist in providing care to 12 children (within an assortment of ages between 4 weeks to 4 years old). Assistant would be responsible for preparing craft projects, preparing meals, changing diapers, patiently soothing babies, assisting with daily indoor/outdoor activities and communicating responsibly with clients. Ideal candidates is patient, CRAFTY CREATIVE knows a variety of children's songs and can lead circle time and other group activities.
An experienced teacher would be great however; I am also willing to train someone who has a genuine calling to be a part of a wonderful early learning program. Here's what's important in our ideal candidate:
Must have a passion for working with children, be patient, and loving.
Demonstrate an attitude of support and encouragement.
Must have at least five years of experience with children.
Strong multi-tasking skills.
Enthusiastic and energetic with the ability to respond quickly to the needs of children.
Good communication skills.
Ability to lift 30 lbs and get down on the floor to play and/or to interact with a child.
Major responsibilities include assisting in planning and maintaining a safe, clean, and fun learning environment and assuring the well-being and safety of the children in his/her care. Excel in patience and caring for all the children in the daycare, playground supervision, and understand development expectations of all ages.
Qualifications:
MUST have or be willing to first obtain a portable background check through the Washington Department of Early Learning and have a MERIT identification number
A High School diploma or equivalent
Proof of negative TB test
Willingness to obtain certification cards in First Aid, Adult/Child/Infant CPR, and HIV & Blood borne Pathogens.
Willingness to obtain a Food Handler's car
Flexibility to work until 6:00 p.m. if needed highly preferred
Experience working in a licensed childcare facility highly preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
