Agape Christian Academy is in need of a highly motivated, creative and skilled assistant director/lead teacher!
The principal function of the lead teacher is to assist and work closely with the director, by performing a number of tasks that help ensure the facility functions effectively. They help create and develop the preschool's curriculum, as well as ensure curriculum implementation. They also assist in resolving issues that arise. The lead teacher works closely with the director to manage all aspects of the classroom experience; they also interact regularly with instructors, providing training, guidance, and support as necessary. The assistant director/lead teacher is also required to handle logistical elements of the business, such as advertising, and marketing. All other duties required.
As the assistant director/lead teacher they will work directly with children in a variety of settings, create a safe and fun learning environment, and follow established curriculum to plan and implement exciting lessons. Additionally, the individual will communicate directly with parents, help resolve concerns, handle payment issues, and provide information on children's progress as well as maintain progress reports as scheduled.
The assistant director/lead teacher must have an associate degree in early childhood education or a related field; however, a bachelor's degree is preferred, and must also have at least 2 years' experience working in a school setting as the supervisor/lead teacher and be knowledgeable of relevant federal, state, and local regulations. They should have excellent interpersonal skills and work well with children; leadership and business management skills are beneficial in this role as well.
