We are looking for Montessori Teachers and Assistants to help us open new Montessori classrooms. The ideal candidate will be excited to implement the Montessori curriculum in a ground level program. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process. The goal is to help us build a thriving Montessori community which includes classrooms which are based on the principles and practices of Maria Montessori, and teachers and parents who support that mission.
Responsibilities
Present Montessori lessons
Provide individualized instruction to each student
Create and distribute Montessori materials for your room
Assess and record students’ progress
Maintain a peaceful and orderly classroom
Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.
Skills
Must possess a love of children and the Montessori method
Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures
Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills
Well-organized and committed
Creative and energetic
Degree and/or Montessori certification/experience
