Bilingual Teacher (English- French)
Employment type: Part-time Bilingual Child Academy is actively hiring a Part-Time Toddler teacher for our AM shift.
We are a multilingual and multicultural Preschool; our curriculum incorporates hands on experiential learning. We have a small teacher to student ratio to ensure high quality education as well as a stress-free environment for our teachers.
Details: positions available * PART-TIME Monday - Friday 9:00-1:00pm (20 hrs per week)
Requirements:
Bilingual English/French

Be eager to learn about progressive education, healthy Social-Emotional upbringing, and positive classroom management strategies
Be a self-motivated and take initiative without constant supervision.

Responsibilities for Teacher
Create lesson plans and activities that meet preestablished developmental and academic goals.
Prepare lesson materials, observe and evaluate students development and learning, manage a small classroom, and be open to suggestions about improvements.
Exercise open and respectful communication with other team members.
Keep milestone and learning records up to date, effectively communicate day to day incidents and observations in a timely manner.
Be able and willing to attend professional development trainings and staff meetings.
Provide a safe, kind and caring environment for all students in the classroom and on the school campus.
Qualifications for Teacher
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or previous experience with early education in a licensed center.
Teaching credential/certificate/license for corresponding age/grade level
Two years of teaching experience preferred but not required.
Experience creating and implementing lesson plans.
Physical ability to handle frequent sitting, stooping, bending, standing, and overall moving throughout the room
Proven ability to maintain a safe and kind classroom environment
Demonstrate flexibility and ability to quickly improvise and overcome difficult situations that might arise while working with children.
Patience and proven ability to maintain composure when confronted with tantrums or crying children.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Experience:
Early Childhood Education: 2 years (Preferred but not required)
Childcare: 2 years (Preferred but not required)
License/Certification:
Child CPR Certification (Preferred but not required)
