Just Imagine Academy is a growing Pre-School & Childcare Center newly installed in the heart of Passaic County. We are currently seeking Teachers for part-time positions leading to full-time positions while our center grows.
We are currently hiring for a Pre-K Teacher to work with children from 3 through 6 years of age at our childcare center in Little Falls, New Jersey. The Group Teacher creates an inviting, stimulating, and safe learning environment. The Pre-K Teacher is expected to work closely with parents and families to achieve academic, as well as social and emotional goals. Interested candidates must be willing to work a flexible 9-20 hour per week schedule, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, and this is a 12 month program. The Preschool teacher may serve in a co-teaching capacity based on class enrollment and ratios. As a new center, we offer tremendous growth opportunities. • Administer appropriate school curriculum that is aligned with our Pre-K Standards
• Strong knowledge in and ability to lead faculty in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum and new education programs
• Dedication to improving student achievement through rigorous assessment, curriculum development, and instruction
• Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure that ALL students are ready for kindergarten entry
• Ensure the opportunity for all students to learn in a supportive environment
• Ensure assessment and instruction guidelines are followed at all times
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times by meeting the physical demands of the position
• Ability to evaluate and give feedback to faculty on their performance
• Work professionally with administrators, staff, parents, and community
• Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and school policy
• Maintain and improve professional competence
• Ability to effectively communicate with parents
• Communicate effectively in writing and speaking
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by school leadership
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or above in Early Childhood Education or currently enrolled in a study plan program
• NJ State Teaching Certification with a preference given to P-3 certificate holders or currently enrolled in a study plan program
• Experience working as a Pre-K or Kindergarten group teacher in a childcare or school setting. Candidates with a solid track record as a paid Assistant Pre-K/Kindergarten teacher in a private school setting similar to ours leading up to their student teaching will be considered.
• Must be willing to work with all age groups from 6 weeks through 6 years of age on occasions
• Minimum of two to three years experience with appropriate age-group (preferred)
• Flexible Full-Time schedule M-F between the hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
• Satisfy the mandatory physical and background checks as required by State and company regulations and policies
• Pediatric CPR & First Aid Certified strongly preferred
