To obtain a position that would utilize my skills, dedication, and enthusiasm as a Pre-School Teacher.
I have worked with children since 1995. I started off baby sitting in my home and then volunteered in my children's classroom during their preschool years. From there, I became a para-professional and worked for Summit Academy for 6 years. Then I worked for 2 child care centers while earning my degree. My last place of employment was for the Dearborn Public School system. During the morning I was the Lead Preschool Teacher. In the afternoon, I subbed in the after-school program at 3 of the elementary schools in the district.
I am able to write lesson plans. I started a writing program while working for Dearborn Publis Schools called "Hand Writing Without Tears". The children also were involved in a reading program callled the "Daily Five". During the summer program, I wrote lesson plans for the morning and afternoon and help the manager find field trips that centered around our weekly theme.
I will bring to my job confidentiality, humor, loyalty, enthusiasm, punctuality, dedication, and a sincere interest in young children to help them achieve their goals. I have had training in Blood Borne Pathogen, the use of an epi-pen, CPR, First Aid, the use of an insulin syringe, signs of Child Abuse, and Grief Counseling. My love of art will aid the children in creative learning.
