Additional Information

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to inform you that I am interested in finding a position in a preschool setting.  I am confident you will find that my unwavering commitment to education, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, solid instructional methods, and hands-on experience will be a positive asset to you.

As a well-rounded educator I have had the chance to teach a diverse group of student, which has provided me with the opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge of accommodating different styles of learners and incorporating effective methods to meet student’s unique needs.

I encourage students learning by incorporating creative learning centers, various forms of technology, hands-on activities, and fun manipulatives.  These methods prove to stimulate student’s social, emotional, physical, and academic growth.  In addition, I utilize these strategies to introduce new concepts, establish a connection between the classroom and everyday life, foster an exciting and engaging atmosphere, and teach fundamental skills.

My greatest capability is cultivating and sustaining strong working relationships with all members of the school community.  I create and send out monthly newsletters to keep parents up-to-date on school events, and hold regular parent-teacher conferences.  I also collaborate with fellow teachers to develop new activities, implement beneficial resources, and refine teaching techniques.  Furthermore, I establish a good rapport with all students and make certain that they receive sufficient praise and positive reinforcement.

My teaching philosophy is built on the belief that children learn best through hands-on learning.  My experience incorporating the philosophies, methods and techniques of the Creative Curriculum and the Strategies Gold, as well as the RIELDS Foundation and Implementing a Standard Based Program classes have enhanced my skills as a teacher of young children.

As a Preschool Administrator I have had the opportunity of simultaneously achieving Department of Early Education and Care licensing and NAYEC Accreditation, as well as the maintenance, and curriculum development of two small preschool centers that provided care for 70 children and their families, as well as overseeing the daily operations of a center with the capacity of 99 children that holds a staff of 25 employees.  Both of these positions included the supervision and development of staff members, and providing tours to new enrolling families.

I would enjoy the opportunity to meet with you personally to discuss my qualifications and credentials in further detail, as I am confident I would be a valuable addition to your academic team.  Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Sincerely,

Corey L. Fornaro
