I am a Trine University graduate from 2011 and a Ball State Graduate from 2013, I have 9 years of first hand work experience with people that are suffering from physical and mental disabilities.I just completed the requirements for my second Master’s in Special Education, and will declare that in the Spring of 2015.
The consumers that I have served in the past have the potential to display violent behaviors and it has been my job to intervene when necessary. In the past I have worked as a therapist with children that are on the Autism Spectrum and have implemented a variety of programs based off of the individuals skills and needs; these programs are centered on the skill deficits that each individual displays.I have completed my required 1500 hours of supervision under a BCBA so that I can sit for my Board Certification Behavior Analyst exam; I hope to be sitting for that exam in February of 2015 and hope to find out if I passed in April of 2015.I have worked with a large variety of clients and multiple disabilities; I know that I have a wide variety of work experience with individuals with a variety of disabilities; my certifications are in Autism and Applied Behavioral Analysis.
I am a very organized person and I thrive on responsibilities. My attention to detail is very important to me, I consider myself a perfectionist.I thrive on learning new skills that will assist me in furthering my career.I have always been a team player that goes out of my way to help others and I work well in groups; I love taking the lead when working in groups.I have worked with computer for over ten years; applying data, researching and applying information to different programs.
Both of my Master’s Degrees were earned online and about half of my Bachelor’s Degrees were earned online as well.I am very self-motivated and self-directed; I work very hard to push myself beyond what I think I am capable of completing, this has shown to be very beneficial to me and my achievements in school.
