To Whom It May Concern:
I am currently seeking a Substitute Teaching position stemming from grades Pre-K to 5th. Grades. I currently hold a Bachelors of Art and was issued a New York State Teaching Certificate.
I had the honor of working for the New York City Department of Education from October,2005 to October, 2014. I began as a Paraprofessional and worked my way up to a Classroom Teacher covering all of the grades my Certification permits.
I have also had the lifetime privilege of volunteering in various positions in all the schools my son has attended. For example, I served as President and Secretary at a Head Start Program in the Bronx. I served as Secretary and classroom teacher in my sons elementary and middle schools.
I served on the School Leadership Team, not only for the Department of education for school CES 133, New York, New York, but also at my son’s current school, Professional Performance Arts School, NY, NY. I currently serve on the Executive Board at PPAS and as the PTA Recording Secretary.
My teaching strengths lay with Pre-K to third in all mandated content area of teaching for our children. I am especially fond of and teach well the 5 components of reading, history, math and science. My weakness is in teaching 4th and 5th grade math, where I know I will need a partner.
I have been involved with caring and teaching children for 25 plus years, once owning my own Daycare for 5 years. My life experiences has enable me to master classroom management skills along with applying strategies that encourage positive classroom behavior.
Lastly, I have learned that being Firm, Fair and Fun enhances any learning experience. I promise to prove to be a valuable asset to your educational facility and more importantly, to the students.
I look forward to hearing from your.
Respectfully,
Ms. Christina D. Lloyd
