Objective
October 19, 2016 Dear School Director: I spent more than twenty-two years teaching Music and Art to young children at Winding Brook School. The work was extremely rewarding and I have to say that I was as inspired by the children as I hope they were by me. At this time, I am teaching piano and voice at “Music Lessons by Amy” in Wall Township, NJ. I began teaching music as licensed Kindermusik instructor and, as I saw that the children were capable of much more than that program offered, developed a program which goes far beyond it. This experience involves integrating movement, vocal development, dramatic play, and using percussion instruments in developing the musical potential of each child. In my art classes I demonstrate techniques and emphasize that, as artists, we are creating our own works and every artist is different. We use various age-appropriate media: crayons, tempera, bio-color paint, colored pencils, play-doh and bars of soap for sculpture. The sky and beyond is the limit for what we can create! Every child is an artist! There is no such thing as good or bad art and the only important thing is that each artist is happy with her/his own work. "I can't do it" doesn't exist for long in my classes, and every child, irrespective of ability, is proud of her/his creations. Having music and art classes every day provides continuity and a greater capacity for exploring and realizing our potential. If you are looking for someone who would like the students to have a great experience, who has a positive attitude, knows how to listen to children and understand their needs, who can see the world through the eyes of a child and understand and respect each child’s way of being in the world, who manages time and sets priorities well, who is interested in learning new things about the needs of the classroom and who is a great team player but also works well independently and thinks creatively, then I am that person! I express my passion for teaching freely to inspire the children and I am open to learning from and being inspired by them. I would be so happy to be a part of your school and I know we would be an excellent match. I look forward to speaking with you and I thank you for your time and consideration. Cordially, Jodi DiLiberto 732-280-9107 Joyoussinger@aol.com

Additional Information
I left Winding Brook School because my program was cut by 40% and I could no longer support myself. From November 2015 to May 2016 I worked as a chiropractic assistant, and longed to be back with the children. In September, I was hired to teach music by Amy Ridgeway and I've loved it, but the income is not enough and I need, either to supplement it by working in a school part time or replace it by working full time.
