I love working with children and I want to be a part of something to help children and watch them grow and help guide them to make good choices in their everyday life.l

For the past four years I have worked in the after care program at Sunset Hills Montessori School in Reston, Virginia.  I am an assistant art teacher, an assistant P.E. teacher and I help run our after care program. I have also subbed in the classrooms at school.  I work primarily with children ages 3 to 6.  However certain parts of my day also require me to work with children as young as 18 months and as old as 13.

communication-  On a daily basis I communicate with the children at school to make good choices.  I am constantly in touch with my peers to keep updated on the children and the status of the day, as well as keeping in touch with administration to share children's schedules or any special notes we might need to know. 

leadership- Being an assistant to art and P.E. and to the after care program I am seen as a leader and delegate tasks to the children on a daily basis.

I really enjoy taking care of children. I love to see how they develop their personalities at such a young age and how smart they are. I continue to learn from children on a daily basis. This world can be tough sometimes and getting to see the world through their eyes makes it more bearable.
